Globally our teams are taking part in our Impact Day with the theme of Valentine's. We have been sharing the love this Valentine’s, with quotes from colleagues across our global teams on what they love about Hamlyn Williams. Our global impact days focus on the wider impact of everything we do, from advising our partners and customers, to CSR initiatives within the local communities of our offices. Ahead of Impact Day, we asked the team what they love about HW.... ❤️❤️❤️   1. Sophie Morris Up first is Sophie Morris, Head of L&D EU & APAC: “The thing I love most about HW is the people. Even working remotely, I feel a great sense of team spirit, even globally!! Everyone has great ambition and is excited to learn more whether they're in their induction or later in their career, which is so refreshing!”   2. Ricky Byrne Continuing with Valentine's theme on Day 2 we heard from Ricky Byrne is telling us what he loves about HW, and it's a popular reason for many of our people globally. **International Opportunity**! "I love the international opportunity offered by the global nature of HW. I fulfilled my ambition to live and work abroad by moving from London to NYC!" Ricky joined Hamlyn Williams in 2018, starting out in London and moving to New York City soon after to fulfill a life-long ambition to live and work abroad. He is making the most of being an ex-pat and is loving life in New York. Ricky leads our Financial Services Contracts team, alongside our FS Director Gareth Carpenter, and the team is going from strength to strength.   3. Aya Agabaria More Valentine's love from across the with a quote is from Aya Agbaria in our Amsterdam team. As the newest office in the group, it's great to see Aya, Richard, and the team in Amsterdam settling in and getting on so well. “Since joining I have been offered consistent support by Hamlyn Williams. Their L&D program is excellent, and the managers are very communicative. Plus, English banter is amazing.” Keep up the great work Amsterdam! ❤️   4. Wilfred King One for football fans! Wilfred King in our Hong Kong team said: "The cohesion and collaboration among teams fascinates me in HW. For the Hong Kong IT team, we work hard and make some incredible achievements under the brilliant leadership of the team manager Brian. Just like the motto of Liverpool, you will never walk alone, I feel exactly the same in HW." Teamwork makes the dream work and we are delighted to hear you are so happy in our Hong Kong team lead by James Tan.   5. Bobby Demarco Bobby Demarco in our San Diego Life Science team said what he loves about Hamlyn Williams is: "I love the choice of office locations at HW. I always wanted to live on the West Coast (USA), and even during the pandemic I made the move from Boston to San Diego, where I now live and work. The move included an epic road trip across the states, visiting the Grand Canyon, Arches National Park, driving through the Rocky Mountains; it was an incredible trip to start an exciting step in my career."⠀ And what a great start to your career at Hamlyn Williams, Bobby! ❤️ We are so thankful for all your hard work, for inspiring your team, and for making the move and settling into life on a new coast. ​ 6. Andrew Cochlin And finally, our CFO Andrew Cochlin rounded Valentine's week off with a final message on what he loves about Hamlyn Williams. "Three things; People, Challenge, Opportunity. We are delighted to announce that Kalpesh Baxi has joined the Hamlyn Williams leadership team as global CEO, as we unveil new growth plans for 2021. 2021 is set to be another exciting year at Hamlyn Williams and we are delighted to have Kalpesh Baxi join our leadership team as we enter a new stage of our growth in all nine of our international locations, across 6 countries. Our 2021 headline plans that Kalpesh will be driving are: Continue to drive growth in headcount globally; we have invested in leadership across all our regions to continue to scale the business. Shape our strategy and invest in sales enablement tools & technologies. Drive the growth of our contract business as we continue to experience increased demand and bring in additional services into our permanent offering. Increased focus on our People Strategy. Kalpesh Baxi brings with him over 20 years of recruitment experience, coming from SThree where he was a Senior Partner, working with customers and leading sales teams. Kalpesh Baxi has said: “I’m excited to join Hamlyn Williams at an important point of their journey…it’s a great business with incredible people working for it and a very impressive client list already in place.
