We are excited to announce that Victoria Doig has joined Hamlyn Williams as Operations Director. Joining us from a global Telecommunications & Network Technology recruitment company where she was Group Operations Manager, Victoria brings a wealth of experience from her time there.
Hamlyn Williams has experienced fast growth over the last few years – with new offices opening and expansion of consultants, with the aim of continuing to scale each of our teams in Europe, China & the USA quickly by the end of 2023. As we grow, bringing someone on board with Victoria’s skills in streamlining ways of working that make the complex job of finding & placing talent simple was vital, and are some of the key things she told us she’s excited to work on -
From a compliance point of view, I want to build processes that support our sales team. Whether people are placing auditors in New York, or finding contractors quickly for businesses we work with, I want to help every consultant to be on top of the small details as easily to make sure we’re delivering for our clients & candidates.And enaling our teams to be able to communicate more easily with each other and share ideas is important too, as we grow. We have 100's of amazing people working across the world – the better we all talk to each other and share our knowledge, the better we will all become.
One of the things driving Vic’s enthusiasm is her long experience in the recruitment industry – seeing that great consultants really do make a difference to people’s lives.
Everyone in recruitment, whether admin assistants or the recruiters to the CEO's, work incredibly hard on a daily basis. There is such a variety of skills to being a recruiter. Such as people skills & empathy, so consultants understand who a candidate is and the complex changes a job change means and how they want to sketch their career path. Hours of learning about our markets so consultants know the precise skills and personality that will not just fit well, but add value to businesses.
And then onboarding, billing and everything in between. Recruiting is complex work – and hard work. Those are all the things I want to help recruiters get better at, make easier and ultimately deliver for clients & candidates
