AVP, Corporate Compliance Officer
NYC – Hybrid

Hamlyn Williams has partnered with one of the largest banks, based in NYC, NY that are looking to hire an AVP, Corporate Compliance Officer. This AVP will be responsible for helping to build a testing program. This role is on a hybrid basis three days per-week on site. If you are not able to work on site, please do not apply.
 
As the AVP, Corporate Compliance Officer, you will:
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of a comprehensive, risk-based compliance management system to ensure full compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Assist in building a strong internal control framework, including policies, procedures, and processes, to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance and testing reviews to ensure operational accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Investigate compliance concerns arising from audits, customer complaints, or reviews, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and monitor resolution.
  • Review and approve marketing materials, advertisements, websites, and social media content to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate the impact of new laws, regulations, and guidance on business operations and systems, communicating findings to relevant business areas and assisting in the development of compliant policies and procedures.

As the AVP, Corporate Compliance Officer, you will need:
  • B.S. Degree, JD is nice to have
  • 3+ years of experience within financial services with a focus on risk, compliance, or audit.
  • Extensive understanding of the U.S. banking industry, including middle market banking, commercial lending, syndicated lending, and other relevant financial products.
  • Familiarity with corporate and general compliance and risk management for commercial banks, covering areas such as BSA/AML, the Community Reinvestment Act, the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Flood Insurance Disaster Protection Act, Fair Lending, the Expedited Funds Availability Act, Privacy, and more.
  • Skilled in using various internal compliance monitoring systems, including data warehouses, to generate custom reports as needed.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen OR Greencard Holder
