Hamlyn Williams is currently working with an industry-leading pharmaceutical company that is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead and manage the MES (POMSnet) environment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role focuses on recipe authoring, technical guidance, and project management. You'll be a technical leader, providing IT governance, software lifecycle management, and ensuring system integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Author and maintain MES recipes, worksheets, and specifications (equipment and materials).

• Lead troubleshooting and resolve complex MES issues.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to MES Engineers.

• Manage system validation protocols, risk assessments, and documentation.

• Collaborate with global MES teams to implement system improvements.

• Participate in NPI projects to ensure MES requirements are integrated from the start.

• Conduct MES training and ensure continuous learning within the team.

• Ensure documentation aligns with cGMP standards and regulatory requirements.

• Support continuous improvement programs related to safety, quality, and production.

• Participate in MES governance and knowledge exchange initiatives.

Requirements:

• Third-level qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or a relevant discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in MES recipe authoring, preferably with POMSnet

• Proficiency in SAP MM, PP and IM modules.

• Strong understanding of GxP and regulatory requirements in pharma.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience in project management.

• Strong IT knowledge and experience in system implementation and governance.

• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
