Senior Director / MD – Commercial & Financial Due Diligence

Location: Frankfurt, Germany (Hybrid)
Start Date: Preference ASAP, Q3 2025 - Q1 2026 possible

About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to shape the build-out of a new advisory platform launching in Germany, backed by significant international investment and already gaining serious traction across the DACH region. Our client is building a senior team to lead complex tax structuring projects, cross-border M&As, reorganisations, and private equity deals. You will be working directly with decision-makers from day one and there's a clear path to build and shape a practice from the ground up.

As Senior Director for the Due Diligence team in Germany, you will deliver strategic insights to private equity and corporate clients, helping them assess target markets, competitive positioning, and growth potential, as well as advising on the financial position of target companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market and competitor analysis to support buy-side and sell-side due diligence
• Know how to analyze financial statements, cash flows, assets, liabilities, and every other financial nook and cranny of client's target companies. 
• Develop commercial hypotheses and validate through primary and secondary research
• Liaise with clients and targets to test business plans and forecasts
• Deliver high-quality reports with strategic insights and recommendations

Ideal Candidate:

• 10+ years’ experience in strategy consulting or commercial due diligence, or financial due diligence.
• Familiarity with private equity deal cycles and client-facing delivery
• Structured thinker with strong research and problem-solving skills
• Strong presentation and report-writing capabilities.
