Our client is a global leading financial data and market intelligence company with strong global presence.

Currently they are expanding agressive across the region spanning across different team. 

They are now looking for an experienced account manager to look after their banking clients (Mainly Asian banks in hong kong) 

Fluent Chinese & English speaking candidates who from similar industry are highly preferred 

Role Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of the customer decision maker’s strategies, priorities and needs
  • Maintain solid knowledge of the current platform's propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest
  • Build and embed a long-term trusted advisor relationship within assigned accounts
  • Drive growth of footprint within their accounts
  • Focus on maintaining overall customer engagement and growing and retaining led net revenue
  • Lead all commercial activities within accounts, be responsible for the end to end customer relationship
  • Drive efficiency in account administration (especially for lower value and growth potential accounts)
  • Lead internal and external partners and maintain networks to negotiate and close deals
  • Accountable and responsible for simple order taking

Emerging & Growth Model

  • Handle an assigned Growth accounts book on a proactive basis
  • Account Managers may also lead a pooled book of accounts on a reactive basis
  • All Account Managers in Emerging and Growth segments are in charge of revenue retention (primarily), sales, and administration of their accounts

Knowledge & Skill

  • Experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of technical subject area or specialism
  • Provides subject matter expertise across sub-units
  • Strong understanding of other roles within the function or Business Unit and how they are connected
  • Knowledge of relationships between all relevant groups within the company
  • Adapts traditional approaches to solutions and applies in different circumstances
  • Shows strength in a specific field across a range of related issues

Scope of Impact

  • Leads routine projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Provides input to department objectives and goals of a sub-Business Unit or function
  • May handle budgets for small projects or programs
  • Advise middle management on functional matters, or on interpretation of policies and practices
  • May train or mentor professional colleagues

Strategic Planning & Decision Making

  • Makes recommendations that may shape operational strategy
  • Settles nature of complex or undefined problems; independently identifies the best solution from many alternatives
  • Escalates higher risk or more outstanding problems
  • Decisions require interpretive thinking and some judgment in developing solutions

Job Qualifications 

  • Understanding of customers and their business model and workflows
  • Prior financial sector experience within the customer segment
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Relationship building skills
  • Sophisticated selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency
  • Problem solving skills: understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs
  • Presentation and communication skills: deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to collaborate with account team
  • University/college degree, equivalent experience may be considered depending on position/department, advanced degree may be preferred
  • Significant work experience in applicable industry and knowledge of customer workflow required
  • Shown account management, sales or marketing experience in a customer facing environment required
  • Customer relationship management required across various levels within matrix
