I'm currently working with a global payments platform that is going through a period of transformation and looking for an ambitious Accountant to join their finance team. You will act as the main point of contact between Finance and Treasury Operations.

They are looking for a part-qualified accountant, who can continue to learn and study on the job (study support is available to support you in completing this).

The role is 100% UK remote-based, but they have WeWork offices dotted around the country on a needs basis for meetings, get-togethers etc. They even supply funding for you to set up the perfect at-home working environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation of trading and liquidity balance sheet accounts and cash flows
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring pre-funding of fees within the payment network
  • Produce monthly financial reporting
  • Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close, and provide explanations for variation against budget and prior periods
  • Prepare statements of commission for customers, answer queries and arrange remittance of funds
  • Participate in ad-hoc tasks and projects within the wider business

Your skillset:

  • You should come from a Fintech/Payments background
  • Experience working with Netsuite is a positive but not required
  • Advanced Excel knowledge, comfortable working with large datasets
  • Track record of being able to handle complex reconciliation tasks
  • Able to prioritize high volume workload and have shown excellent planning and organizational skills
  • 2 years of professional experience and working towards your qualification

Benefits:

  • Salary up to £45,000 per annum
  • Mental health days
  • Comprehensive health care package (including a monthly allowance to spend on health/wellness)
  • Allowance to create your own at home workspace
  • Study allowance and support

Please only apply if you are a UK resident as visa support is not provided.

Please note, due to the high volume of applications it is not possible to provide a response to everyone.
