Associate Director

Hamlyn Williams is looking for an Associate Director to head up and lead our Financial Service recruiters within the contracts team, focusing on the EMEA region from our Cardiff office.

There are rapid expansion plans in place to significantly grow this team, which have achieved record months for billings in the team, each month, since January 2021. For us to grow the team we need to ensure we have a leader with demonstrable success in the Financial Services recruitment space, which can come in the form of management experience or simply an impressive billing history in that market.

A snapshot of the role:

Reporting directly to the directors and executive board, you will manage operations/tactical and strategic plans. You will play an integral role in the succession and development of talent, ensuring our proud history of rewarding high performance with promotions continues. You will be accountable for hiring top talent in line with your headcount growth strategy and productivity targeting.

As an individual, you will have strong leadership skills, evidence of a desire to develop your management style and coaching ability, and you will be active in training and mentoring across the group.

  • A leader that understands the principles of leadership and the ability to inspire/coach more junior managers a diverse and flexible approach.
  • A solution and data-driven problem solver who can identify retention issues ahead of time and communicate and execute plans to remove the risk or limit the impact.
  • A Flexible approach to individuals’ goals and learning styles, demonstrating a passion and history of succeeding through others to achieve financial forecast & budgets.
  • An effective communicator and champion of back-office processes, procedures, and expertise, you will be a player-coach that lives and holds others accountable to our Hamlyn Williams values.
  • A strong desire to succeed and keep being promoted through the career path to be a divisional leader to Director level
  • Regularly seeks own development and seeks strong inter-company relationships
  • Excellent rapport building skill
  • Strong business to business sales acumen
  • Has a clear targeting strategy for new business and for his/ her own vertical to grow by geography or functions
  • Manage own KPI’s and demonstrable weekly and monthly activity
  • Deliver your personal sales budget and target against the clear criteria you are set
  • Adhere to all deal and general administration procedures and train your team on good procedure
  • Create, update and maintain client and candidate records
