Our client is a top global bank who, in light of strong growth and financial performance, is seeking to expand its internal audit function across the USA. We are recruiting an Internal Audit Director to lead and manage the Consumer Banking Audit group in California.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in the strategic development of a team of x10 direct reports in Los Angeles, and oversee the execution of a robust audit plan covering Retail Lending / Deposits, Mortgage Operations, Small Business Lending, Unsecured Lending and Digital Banking.

You will be a sharp communicator, capable of holding your own against global stakeholders internally and externally from a technical perspective. This is a business critical role, and the firm is committed to interviewing and onboarding individuals remotely during this time period.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • 9+ years' internal audit experience ideally gained in a US retail bank setting, and/or complex financial services environment
  • Product knowledge aligned to Small Business Lending, Deposits, Mortgages, Student Loans, Digital Banking, etc.
  • Proven track record of managing direct reports on delivery, in addition to pushing the next level of their development
  • Relevant certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE and/or CFSA
