A brilliant opportunity to join an independent cloud and digital transformation specialist SME. Due to recent success, the company is looking to expand its team by adding a Bid Manager to assist with managing the entire bid process – from identifying new projects all the way through to presenting to panels when required.

This role will be based at the company’s office in Cambridgeshire, although the bulk of the role can be worked remotely if required. Some travel will be necessary for client meetings in London from time to time.

You will:

  • Have demonstrable experience within strategy and consultancy
  • Be able to structure a proposal in a clear manner.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Feel comfortable presenting in front of clients.
  • Possess impeccable organisation and timekeeping skills.

A background in tech is favorable but not essential.

Role duties include:

  • The timely management, coordination, writing and submission of compliant and high-quality bids and proposals in new and existing markets to retain, win and expand the business.
  • Responsibility for the forward-planning of all bids in all sectors in conjunction with the management team to ensure sight of pipeline and involvement in the planning
  • Ensuring all RFP submissions undergo full governance
  • Identifying external agencies and Sales Enablement functions and work with them to identify opportunities for sector growth.
  • Supporting the ongoing delivery of high-quality, cost-effective sales collateral in support of strategic objectives
  • Working with management to build a business pipeline and increase presence on frameworks etc. 
  • Providing regular reporting on success/failure of bids/proposals to the management team
  • Adopting a ‘best practice’ approach to the ongoing development of bids/proposal methodology, using market insight to proactively seek out ways to improve the effectiveness and success of bids.
  • To ascertain the most profitable and ascertainable business where relevant
