A startup client based in Nevada is looking for a Chief Information Officer to lead the company from a technology and product perspective as we develop a range of new crypto-asset products.  

This is a fast growing business and in this role, we require someone who matches this criteria:

1. Had a  successful career to date as a Software Engineer and has managed in such capacity
2. Experience and hands-on developing and delivering smart contracts
3. Can demonstrate a track record of managing projects with an agile delivery methodology  

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the company’s data, security, maintenance, and the network within a regulated environment
• Manage technology implementation projects from definition to acceptance, esp., with crypto smart contracts
• Establish and evaluate information technology strategies for key products and services
• Align the company’s technology resources with the organization’s short-and long-term goals.
• Analyze the technology we currently use for design, development and suitability Partner with key stakeholders to evaluate business needs and develop technology requirements
• Collaborate with the Product manager, IT security to measure system and resource use and allocation
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers for installing new technology and training employees
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses for every change in our IT workflow
• Propose hardware and software upgrades as appropriate to improve operations, consistency, and budgetary success
• Drive productivity and recruit new staff members when necessary

Experience and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and related field is required
• Work cooperatively in a small team, under pressure and with tight timelines for delivery
• Hand-on involvement/team-leadership using tools applicable to crypto-currencies, especially smart-contracts is a necessity  
• Experience of delivering under both a traditional waterfall and agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of FDIC or similar regulatory authority expectations for performing technology audits
• Demonstrable skills in computing, software development and software design
