Hamlyn Williams is delighted to be supporting a well-known payments company in the e-money fintech space in finding their new Chief Risk and Compliance Officer.

You will be joining the Risk and Compliance team on a full-time permanent basis, Reporting directly to the CEO with dotted lines to the General Counsel legal teams. This role will be critical in overseeing the compliance and risk operations to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations policies and procedures as well as considering emerging risks.

Experience in crypto currency advantageous but not crucial, exposure within EMI regulated  businesses preferred.

Experience:

  • Significant regulatory, risk and compliance experience (multinational group environment preferred e.g US, EU APAC).
  • Extensive experience producing risk reports and presentation for the Board, CEO and Executive Committee including Non-Executive Directors.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the banking sector specifically around payments.
  • Knowledge and experience of the Financial Services Act 2019, MiFID, PSD2 and CRD IV.
  • Proven track record as a Senior Risk and Compliance leader.
  • Approved Person experience within the FCA or UK regimes.
  • Proven experience at working with board level individuals and navigation of such relationships.
  • Proven people management experience and lateral collaboration with other senior leaders in a firm.
  • Proficient at establishing credibility quickly and building relationships at all levels, influencing a range of senior stakeholders and challenging decision making to help drive continuous improvements.
