Consultant Risk Data Modelling

We are currently developing a new data environment for Finance and Risk to collect and integrate data that can be consumed by our Finance and Risk stakeholders.

The Consultant Risk Data Modelling will ideally have the following responsibilities:

  • In your role as a consultant, you play an important role in the logical (data model) design of the new datastore.
  • It is important that you are experienced in data modelling and the design of data management capabilities like data lineage, ETL and data quality.
  • The team is approaching the testing phase, so experience on this (test strategy, test cases, etc.) is very beneficial.

The Consultant Risk Data Modelling will ideally have the below skills and expertise:

  • Because you are representing Risk Management you have sufficient (credit) risk knowledge to communicate with your stakeholders.
  • You have good communication skills to determine their (data) requirements and translate these into designs that can be implemented by our engineers.
  • You are self-starting and proactive in your approach.
  • You have a good understanding of business drivers and relevant IT aspects, you like to find answers to questions that seem puzzling. That enables you to ‘connect the dots with regard to:
    1. translating stakeholder requirements into solutioning in the tooling, but also
    2. assessing and visualising (potential) impact on the ‘bigger picture’ and ambitions.
  • You like working in a team in which close collaboration is key and every team member takes ownership for his/her own deliverables.
  • You’ve successfully completed a higher professional education (Bsc.) or degree (Msc.) and have at least 4 years of relevant work experience, ideally in Data Modelling
  • You have knowledge of Risk Management (primarily Credit Risk), and of data management components such as ETL and data lineage
  • You have experience with and interest for testing – developing test strategy and cases
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Dutch is an advantage)

•    The ability to work flexible hours

•    A good salary and pension scheme

•    A supplementary benefit budget of 11% with which you can buy flexible fringe benefits such as extra days off, a subsidy to cover the costs of a phone or an (electric) bicycle and salary top-ups

•    An annual public transport season ticket

•    A personal development budget of € 1,000 per year with an option to save up to € 3,000
