Our client is a global leading financial data and market intelligence company with strong global presence.

Currently they are expanding agressive across the region spanning across different team. 

They are now looking for an experienced equity trading solutions sales who are familar with trading styles (HFT, algorithmic, market making…) and asset classes (options, futures, equities, ETFs, FX, OTC…)to join their expanding sales team in hong kong. 

Role Summary 


The Proposition Sales Specialist Trading Solutions (Equities) is responsible for growing the comapny's Order and Execution Management Solutions (Equities) business in a defined territory through prospecting for new clients and developing new business opportunities within existing customer accounts. The Sales Specialist must have domain knowledge of both buyside and sellside order management and execution workflows and trade lifecycle.

For the Buyside this includes: Fund Management, Position Keeping, Compliance, Order and Execution Management, FIX Protocol/Networks, Exchange Traded and OTC Securities, Market Data (Realtime and Reference), and Fund Accounting. 

For Sellside this includes: Equities markets Order Workflow Automation, Algorithmic Trading, Multi-Asset Order Management, FIX Protocol/Networks, Exchange Gateways, and Market Data (Realtime and Reference).

The successful candidate must be able to effectively position and demonstrate the solutions in this area and through a consultative sales process. 

Key Responsibilities 


  • Structure, negotiate and close deals
  • Proactively identify pipeline opportunities, working in tandem with the Account Managers
  • Develop the sales strategy for their proposition within given territory
  • Provide insights and share Refinitiv thought leadership on their proposition with customers
  • Deliver customer demonstrations on their specific propositions

Qualifications and Experience Required

As a subject matter expert to sales and pursuit activities, you will act in of support Account Managers focusing on all sales (new, cross-sells, up-sells) for the proposition and serve accounts within a defined territory. The role works in close partnership with internal stakeholders to proactively drive gross sales and revenue.


  • Deep market understanding in investment management trade lifecycle and electronic order flows from Buyside origination through Sellside execution
  • Experience in selling Trading Solutions into ASEAN markets to Buyside hedge funds / fund managers and/or Sellside brokerages
  • Broad knowledge of trading styles (HFT, algorithmic, market making…) and asset classes (options, futures, equities, ETFs, FX, OTC…)
  • World class selling skills (identify, develop, & articulate proposition/ consultative selling) as a “hunter”
  • Strong sales ‘closer’
  • Significant Product and Workflow Expertise
  • Creative thinker and good sales ideation skills
  • Presentation skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize and execute a sales plan
  • Executive presence
  • Over 5 years of industry, sales or market experience
  • Proven track record in a quota bearing sales environment
  • Experience selling to C- level executives
