Hamlyn Williams is recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a top-tier US Bank as a part of their Quality Assurance & Commercial Field Exam team, responsible for special risk mitigation projects and/or programs, business continuity, and other incident response and security-related activities supporting industry best practices, improved efficiency, effectiveness and risk reductions.

A successful candidate will have an expert understanding of second-line identification and resolution. As well as advanced knowledge of credit risk and the ability to design efficient control practices to minimize risk. 

In this role you will: 

  • Complete detailed review reports of field examinations and work papers, including recommendations for advance rates and eligibility, while also identifying potential risks to the Bank’s security position

  • Ensure adherence to the Bank’s procedures, processes, policies, and standards.

  • Effectively communicate with agent banks to review submitted field exams, and with Third-party field examination providers, to guarantee that all Bank standards are met.

  • Establishes positive relationships with leaders, managers, and teams while gaining a thorough understanding of the company's operations and strategic ambitions.

  • Ensure that issues are properly handled with Bank management, including any waivers or other permissions that may be required prior to implementation.

  • Serves as a liaison between first and third lines of defense

  • Enhances governance processes in support of infrastructure builds and oversee strategic compliance/business solutions

In this role you will need: 

  • 3 + years of Field Examination and review experience

  • 4-6 years; Financial Services industry, 4-6 years; Risk, Commercial Operations, Internal Controls, or related experience

  • Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Business, Statistics, Risk Management, Information Systems, Finance, Economics or an equivalent field required

  • Master's Degree: Accounting, Business, Statistics, Risk Management, Information Systems, Finance, Economics or equivalent field or equivalent work experience preferred

  • Advanced knowledge in regulatory reporting and compliances

  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in second-line identification and resolution

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with senior leaders across departments

  • Excellent analytical skills in Excel and fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.
