Our client in the pharmaceutical sector is rapidly growing and as part of their global expansion plans, we are working together to search for a Finance Manager to join the ever-growing team in Swindon, England. You will be heading up the Finance function for the Irish entity and be integral to the success & development of the operations globally

You will report to the Directors in the US & collaborate with teams internationally while being responsible for supporting the business in their growth into new markets.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Responsible for monthly European revenue and receivable data including
  • Calculating and posting revenue journal entries, including prompt pay discount, returns reserve, pricing discounts, and wholesaler fees, accounts receivable and cash applied
  • Analyzing the monthly revenue and receivable data and preparing related account reconciliations
  • Support information requests from Trade Operations, Customer and Contract Operations, Commercial Strategy and Development and the Commercial organization
  • Implementing process improvements for revenue and related accounting and reporting
  • Monitoring customer accounts receivable balances and working directly with our third party logistics provider to address aging receivables, late payments and credit holds
  • Working closely with our third-party logistics provider to maintain an effective and efficient order to cash process
  • Manage month-end accounting closing process to ensure accuracy of internal and external financial reporting including the following items
  • Preparing month end entries and reconciliations for revenue, cash, intercompany balances, value added taxes, payroll, transfer pricing and other general accounting areas
  • Supporting statutory VAT reporting requirements
  • Managing the Ireland general ledger, including ensuring completeness of monthly financial accounting journal entries and reconciliations
  • Working closely with the system administrator to implement any necessary system changes related to the Ireland ledger as needed
  • Support budgeting and inventory transactions as needed for Ireland
  • Assist with quarterly and annual SEC financial and statutory reporting activities including:
  • Preparing related balance sheet and P&L analytics for Ireland
  • Preparing any necessary supporting workpapers for SEC filings
  • Preparing Revenue gross to net reconciliation
  • Supporting statutory and branch reporting requirements

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge and working experience of US GAAP
  • Qualified Accountant within (ACCA,CIMA,ACA)
  • Experience within the Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Biosciences space will be ideal
  • 2/3 years post qualification experience required
