Financial Reporting Accountant
Santa Rosa, California
We are currently working with a highly reputable and long-established client of ours. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounting department and works closely with the senior finance team giving excellent exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly loan board, ALCO, and board reports
- Manage insurance policies and lease agreements, including accounting entries and reconciliations
- Assist in preparing quarterly Call Reports and other regulatory reports
- Contribute to annual audited financial statements preparation
- Calculate and post monthly expense accruals and daily accounting entries
- Perform daily general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Review and balance the daily company balance sheet
- Manage pledged securities and ensure accurate reporting for deposits and guarantees
- Oversee investment portfolio documentation and monthly interest accruals
- Assist with monthly certifications and reconciliations
- Support internal and external queries related to accounts
- Assist with various accounting and reporting duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in accounting preferred
- Proficiency in loan accounting and good Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills and experience in process improvement
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Fiserv DNA & Prologue (ideal but not a necessity)
