JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are a fast-growing global payment solutions provider and licensed Money Service Operator in Hong Kong. The Compliance Officer will support the compliance program in all aspects to ensure company compliance with applicable regulations and laws in Hong Kong and other Asia countries.

Oversee the HK AML/CFT compliance and Sanctions program, reviewing and evaluating compliance issues/risks within the organization.

Maintain current and extensive knowledge of the relevant laws and regulatory guidelines.  Advise Management and train staffs on new regulatory developments and recommend appropriate policy, procedure and internal controls accordingly.

Provides regulatory reports as required and maintain constructive communication and relationship with related regulatory bodies.

Develop, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the HK Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.

Act as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) responsible for STRs filing to JFIU as appropriate and/or required.

Participate in the development and implementation adequate compliance controls to new services and products.

Managing effective work relationships with partner banks and vendors.

Liaison with business counterparts to ensure advice or approval on customers, products, services, marketing materials in compliance with related laws and regulations.

Consult with the internal or external attorney as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues.

Work with auditors and examiners during regulatory compliance examinations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

At least 5 years relevant working experience in compliance, legal or internal audit

Possess sound knowledge of Hong Kong compliance regulatory laws, AML/CFT, and sanctions

Hands on experience with anti-money laundering compliance with money service operators or banks.
