Key Responsibilities:

 Develop and maintain a market-leading, high-quality time series database consisting of macroeconomic, financial and industry data for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan

 Support the development of an ambitious data roadmap to meet the China Premium commercial goals through leading and implementing content enhancements

 Lead change in adding new types of content and sources, particularly alternative data providers

 Collaborate and work closely with product development and technology teams to translate clients' data requirements into tangible developments

 Oversee the data operations, ensuring data timeliness, accuracy and consistency across products, delivering continuous data operations and meeting required service levels

 Build a high performing team of analysts specialised in processing and adding value to Chinese economic and alternative data  Ensure that the team stays ahead of the curve in terms of data management practices, and that teams are trained properly

 Drive improvements in our data systems to achieve goals and meet future development needs  Manage the sources of the data to ensure the continuous supply of data, working alongside the Content Licensing team as needed  Develop strong working relationships with existing and new data sources and liaise continuously with official and private-sector sources at a senior level  Maintain regular contact with clients and users to align with their data needs and contribute to our industry-leading support and customer success 

 Communicate data updates and methodology changes across internal teams and through external sales and marketing channels

 Build awareness and reputation of the product through events, media and written articles (data blogs etc) internationally and within China To be considered for this role you must show:  Significant experience in working with and managing databases containing Chinese economic data, and increasingly alternative data

 Exceptional knowledge of the landscape for Chinese data, including the alternative data scene and be well connected and be up-to-date with the latest developments in this area  Strong governance around the use and publishing of data in China

 Track record in content acquisition and working with Chinese data providers  Experience working with clients across government, finance and industry and understanding their use of data  Proven ability working in cross-functional, multicultural teams, showing excellent team spirit and strong organizational skills  Clear examples of driving transformational change and initiatives

 Broad knowledge of best practice in data management approaches  Positive attitude and a “can do” approach  Excellent communication and presentation skills  Availability to travel internationally as needed
