Hamlyn Williams are excited to launch a new partnership with a rapidly expanding, Stockholm based business, who provide AI solutions and platforms to customers. The business is well established and their product offering is growing, offering their customers the ability to utilise and streamline their data into actionable insights.

The business are looking for a Java Developer with a passion for big data to to help their team of developers build great solutions centered around AI.

To be successful as a software developer at the company, they look for applicants to be an innovative thinker with a hunger to expand your knowledge. 

The team hopes that their new colleagues will share their interest in Java development, adhere to the principle that nothing is impossible and is motivated to learn new technologies. 

About the role:

  • Write test-driven, clean, readable, and efficient code to deliver new user-facing features.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Clearly document any programming-related information.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

This is what you'll be working with (Experience with all is not neccesary - just the enthusiasm to learn what you don't know);

  • This role requires a high level of technical interest. Technical university degree is desirable or otherwise equally qualified experience well-documented is required.
  • Interest in the Open Source development process and application life cycle management.
  • Experience in agile development methods such as Scrum.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience in Big Data Technologies (2 years experience of Hadoop or Kafka).
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science.
  • 2-5 years of experience building, shipping and maintaining customer-facing applications.
  • Knowledge of Java programming language, paradigms, constructs and idioms.
  • Experience with Cloud; AWS, Azure
  • Experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, JOOQ/PostgreSQL, Kafka, Protobuf, GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes

The role is based in Stockholm and will require a hybrid working model, with the opportunity to work a couple of days a week at home.

Due to the nature of working closely with business customers, it is a requirement that the applicants speak both Swedish and English.
