Hamlyn Williams are working in partnership with a growing VC funded B2B enterprise start-up platform organisation who are seeking an experienced Infrastructure and Devops Engineer to join them as they begin their strong expansion moving into 2022.

This position has the scope and ability to move into a Technical Lead for the business as this will be their first senior tech hire whom they are looking to build a team around and would want this person within the future hiring processes to build the division.

The opportunity will be based out of their London office and would require to be in office 2/3 times a week for the first few months whilst they scale the teams. The ideal location would be based in and around the London area.

 

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on responsibilities, from working on the scalable platform, designing the architecture of systems, working on client libraries, APIs, and AWS/Azure multi-cloud devops.
  • Deploy infrastructure via Terraform, Azure, CloudFront
  • Creating automation pipelines to deploy and test the applications
  • Architect highly available systems & processes to be able to deliver availability to the clients customers
  • Setup and oversee monitoring/logging stack – ELK
  • Configure security on servers
  • Expertise in the DevOps process and complete understanding to implement them

 

Requirements

  • 5 + years’ experience in DevOps, with sound knowledge in large-scale DevOps systems
  • Understanding how to implement scalable, available infrastructure and how to support developers in being highly efficient in their processes
  • Experience in building back-end systems
  • Past experience owning production systems & Cloud Accounts with best practices. Including production site reliability
  • Previous work in sysadmin, DB management, infrastructure automation, and automated CI tools
