We are currently looking to hire a Learning and Development Executive on a permanent basis to join our growing Hamlyn Williams L&D team in Cardiff with flexible working options.

This is an excellent role for a recruitment consultant or someone in HR looking to develop their career in Learning and Development and offers a brilliant career pathway in this area.

This role will see you being responsible for the timely and engaging onboarding and induction of new colleagues across our Cardiff, London and Amsterdam offices, including the possible induction of Consultants in our Hong Kong office; ensuring all new starters are supported throughout.

You will also support with the design and delivery of training content including core modules, ad-hoc sessions, workshops, coaching and Virtual Classroom Training spanning the full 360-recruitment cycle for both Contract and Permanent Consultants, as well as personal development sessions.

A typical week:

  • Delivery of classroom and virtual-based training, welcome sessions and other learning activities. Ensuring feedback is provided to Managers following each training session and across new colleagues’ inductions
  • Partner closely and collaboratively with Senior Stakeholders and the wider Operations team including the US L&D team, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, and HR as required
  • Responsible for induction and upskilling of new colleagues on the induction programmes as well as delivering ad hoc sessions based upon the learning needs of our people
  • Conduct ongoing check-ins with new colleagues and ensure required tasks/training are completed on time in line with their induction programme
  • Responsible for training coordination and scheduling as well as ensuring L&D reporting is kept up to date
  • Generate ideas on learning initiatives, training content and required topics and share with Head of L&D for implementation where appropriate
  • Be open to upskilling and growing within the role as our internal learning offering develops
  • Conduct ongoing coaching activities in line with induction programmes and individual learning needs including 1-1 coaching, group coaching, call coaching and role play. Also conduct desk-side coaching following training sessions to ensure learning is applied
  • Design and deliver ad-hoc workshops/training sessions as required
  • Prepare and compile new colleagues' pre-start resources e.g. Handbook/Manager guides etc. as well as sending required communications such as emails, calendar invites and resources to delegates
  • Ensure L&D records are kept up to date regarding training attended etc. to ensure accurate reporting can be conducted
  • Support with training evaluation to improve the learning experience and allow us to better assess whether content is being applied and to measure L&Ds impact on performance

What you will need:

  • Experience working within a recruitment company (ideally as a billing consultant) or HR role.
  • Understanding of the role of a recruitment consultant
  • Any training or previous L &D experience would be desirable
