Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Daily responsibilities will include advising, drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts and often be the lead negotiator on complex negotiations;
  • Coordination and management of external counsel on a wide variety of matters
  • working closely with the business and compliance teams providing product compliance analysis and regulatory surveys
  • representing the legal function in regulatory engagements
  • Keep up to date with legal development in key markets;
  • Working with global counterparts on legal initiatives and projects;
  • Providing accurate and timely legal guidance to the company on all matters that affect the company.

Requirements:

  • You will be a UK or EU qualified lawyer, with demonstrable post-qualification experience, ideally including some experience in working in an in-house environment in a payments-related business
  • Good regulatory knowledge and skills, especially in relation to e-money, payments, FinTech business and the relevant licensing laws and regulations in major jurisdictions including key EMEA markets
  • A commercial mind-set and ability to think creatively to achieve the commercial objectives of the business
