The Quantitative Senior Analyst will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and implementing quantitative algorithms and processes to facilitate and support the core functions of the Index Research & Design team, including index design, portfolio analysis and strategy simulations. The solutions designed will encompass both on premise and cloud-based AWS environments.  

This role requires knowledge of a wide spectrum of technology platforms and architectures and a keen interest and understanding of quantitative techniques, numeric processes and algorithm design. 


Main Responsibilities: 

• Implement critical processes and quantitative algorithms 

• Will work in a global team across regions 

• Working with research analysts to create numeric algorithms and quantitative investment solutions 

• Coordinate with Cloud Architects and other relevant partners in Technology, Information Security, and others, on the evolution of the cloud platform from a Research perspective 

• Assist and coordinate with Technology teams on data ingestion 

• Oversee the development and creation of Research tooling  


Skills and Experience: 

• Demonstrate significant experience of quantitative/algorithmic process development  

• Good experience with common numeric algorithms 

• Expert level knowledge of Python, particularly Python numeric packages  

• Experience of cloud environments such as AWS and cloud-based data technologies such as Snowflake 

• Familiar with financial data 

• Familiar with MATLAB environment 

• Familiarity with source control offerings such as GIT 

•  Knowledge of Linux operating system, csh/bash/ksh   

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Self-motivated with to a keen desire to solve technical challenges 

• Advanced academic degree (PhD or MSc) in a quantitative discipline  

• Strong work ethic, with a readiness to assume additional responsibilities  

• Excellent communication skills  

• Team player
