Responsibilies

• Perform daily analysis of transactions, user behaviour data and KYC information to detect and investigate suspicious trends and patterns
• Research fraud and user behaviour to gain insights into fraud patterns, contribute to machine learning models, rules and other detection systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on defining anti-fraud rules and processes to mitigate fraud
• Build reports on fraud monitoring to identify emerging trends and to stop fraudulent or illegal activity before it happens.
• Continuously monitor and share insights on current and emerging fraud patterns

Develop expertise

• Develop in-depth knowledge on payment and product features
• Understand the trends and intelligence of fraudulent activities in each local market
• Be up-to-date on Internet technologies, payment threats, digital fraud trends involving synthetic identities, stolen credit cards, and online crime.
• Be comfortable in navigating through situations of ambiguity or uncertainty and making decisions, balancing financial impact and customer experience
• Take a proactive approach to understand root causes and pain points

Qualifications

• A Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in any field
• 3+ years of experience in fraud investigation preferably in payment, financial services or online marketplace
• Possess good problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to notice anomalies in data
• High ethical standards with demonstrated integrity
• Independent and highly motivated to resolve issues with minimal instructions or supervision
• Enjoys working in a collaborative environment and values team cohesion
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in an Asian language is a plus
• Willing to support operational functions on evenings, weekends and public holidays
