The Opportunity:

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Director. The successful candidate will help our company and assigned teams meet our merchant acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

Sales director responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets. Sales director duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships, and understanding merchant services trends.

The Responsibilities:

  • Train staff in products, merchant services and processes for sales excellence
  • Increase reps’ efficiency with leads, transactions, and time management
  • Hire, onboard and mentor employees
  • Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting merchant relationships
  • Understand vertical-specific landscapes and trends
  • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
  • Manage the inside sales representatives team
  • Set and track sales targets for your team
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process
  • Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines
  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products

Who you are:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentational skills; must be able to provide succinct, strategic, and actionable insights to senior executives
  • Proven, successful track record and experience in Fin/Tech B2B sales
  • Success in introducing new, disruptive technologies to a market is preferred
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness to all levels of the organization
  • Attention to detail in analyses, deliverables, and communications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Hands-on with ability to juggle multiple projects and multi-task
  • Able to articulate clinical, technological, and operational aspects of product and service to a varied client audience
  • Interest in Internet of Things, data analytics, fintech, and blockchain

What we prefer:

  • Sales management experience is required
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25%+ a year
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast moving, highly entrepreneurial, start-up environment.
