A community banking client of ours is looking for a Senior Compliance Manager to serve as the lead for independent assessment of loan condition and quality of the commercial and consumer lending function. 

Reports to Director of Compliance, routine interactions with Boards of Directors and senior management; daily interaction with Compliance, Fraud and Security and Risk Teams; daily interaction with lending and loan servicing staff; as required interaction with senior management in connection with marketing and disclosure review; as required interaction throughout the organization to provide compliance advice at all levels. 

Job Summary: Oversee Consumer Compliance requirements and Regulatory Risk Mitigation, safeguarding the Bank and ensuring the Bank is compliant, while maintaining the ongoing development of an effective Compliance Management system. Serve as designated Reg. O Officer and CRA Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and analyze pending and new regulatory changes and their impacts to the Bank and its affiliates; develop and implement preparedness efforts resulting from such regulatory changes
  • Serve as the Bank’s Regulation O Officer and CRA Officer
  • To the extent appropriate, participate in the review of new product offerings, and product delivery systems, as well as modifications to those already existing, to ensure compliance
  • Develop, implement, and maintain consistent review/approval procedures for Loan and Deposit Disclosures
  • Prepare management reports and provide Board and staff training as needed
  • Identification of excessive use of Bounce Protection (FDIC issue)
  • Collaborate with senior management on the development, drafting, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures; ensure policies accurately and effectively communicate legal and regulatory standards; meet internal policies and procedures as well as ethical standards; periodically review and initiate necessary updates

Qualifications:

  • Comply with applicable bank regulations, such as regulations governing currency transactions, purchase of negotiable instruments, and money laundering (BSA, AML).
  • Comply with all applicable regulations and Bank policies regarding employment and employment law.
  • Participate in annual compliance and other job-related training.
  • Extensive knowledge of banking regulations pertaining to Lending, Marketing, and Retail Operations
  • Extensive understanding of Bank policies and procedures in lending, deposit operations, and branch operations, and compliance requirements of marketing and disclosures
  • 5+ Years of Regulatory Compliance
