Hamlyn Williams has partnered with one of the highest valued fintech companies in the world. This global internet payments business specifically operates within the fashion retail sector, creating more affordable methods for the consumer to shop online and offline. As they continue to execute their scale up across EMEA APAC & the US markets, they are currently looking to hire a senior data analyst - fraud management
Your Mission
- Work in a highly effective team responsible for the processing of financial transactions amounting to billions of euros
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their analytical needs, developing and optimizing reports, performing deep-dive analysis and providing insights to facilitate a data-driven decision-making
- Exploit and analyze high volumes of data in order to quantify and answer questions to improve the business performance. Monitor KPIs, identify fraud patterns and actively take actions to reduce the fraud loss across multiple regions
- Collaborate with the central teams in Berlin as well as with the local teams to drive best payments practices across the globe
- Demonstrate proficiency in coding practices and analytic approaches
- Proactively bring new ideas and suggestions to the team and our internal clients to improve our fraud prevention set up
Your Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics, economics, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Science or comparable fields
- Experience with SQL and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, QlikView)
- Familiarity with mathematical and statistical data analysis techniques (such as regression, extrapolation, time series analysis, forecasting, statistical hypothesis testing and econometric models)
- You are enthusiastic, innovative, with an analytical mind, a 'can do' attitude and capable of using data to tell stories
- Good and versatile communication and presentation skills (technical vs business vs layman vs C-level)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and balance competing priorities
