Hamlyn Williams are delighted to partner with a global market leader in the identity verification space who are looking for an experienced Solutions Engineer to focus on supporting their Channel Partners. Our partners mission is to make the internet a safer place by protecting the ecosystems of businesses through a unified, end-to-end identity verification and eKYC platform. The KYX Platform offers a range of identity proofing and AML services to accurately establish, maintain and reassert trust from account opening to ongoing transaction monitoring. Over the last decade, they have grown year on year, and are furthering their expansion into EMEA.

The Channel Solution Engineer helps the companies growing partner network and end customers to get the best out of the products. They provide technical and functional expertise across the suite of online ID and Identity verification, KYC, AML, user authentication and Risk Management solution, working with partners, sales, product, engineering, account management and marketing through the entire pre and post-sales lifecycle. 

You’ll be an integral part of the growing global sales team, interacting with a broad and interesting range of internal and external stakeholders. As dedicated Channel SE you’ll have the opportunity to utilise and improve best practices that support the long-term channel strategy and relationships.

Increasing pipeline conversion rates, helping to grow revenue and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction are just some of the high value outputs from Solution Engineers.

You will play a major role in improving and expanding existing processes such as, pre-sales technical presentations, product testing, integration and Channel onboarding. You are the solution expert for how solutions can add value to the channel customer’s user journey, specifically through web, mobile SDK  and different API channels. Performance has a direct impact on the overall channel team’s effectiveness. Ultimately it’s about helping to drive continued growth and success while growing your own career. 

 Example Responsibilities:

  • Working with Channel partners and end customers to identify and implement high value customer on-boarding and identity verification solutions 
  • Asking investigative questions to understand the intended use-case and propose recommendation(s) on how best to implement solution to meet requirements
  • Creating and leading customer facing technical presentations
  • Able to create a working solution by utilising APIs
  • Actively aiding in the completion of solution presentations, RFPs and RFIs
  • Manage the onboarding of customers, from kick-off meeting with business and project teams to Go Live
  • Providing technical and functional subject matter expertise to our channel partners as well as Account Executive and Account Management team
  • Working closely with Product Management, Marketing, and other business units to maintain and improve the technical and functional knowledge of existing and new product features
  • Creating and delivering customised demos on different platforms (web, iOS, Android)

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven professional experience of SaaS Enterprise level experience in Technical Pre-sales, Technical Implementation Management or Technical Consulting role, including exposure to complex environments
  • Strong customer facing experience, used to interacting with all levels and departments across enterprise customers 
  • Strong presentation and customer facing skills combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced working with Channel partners and an indirect sales model 
  • In depth technical knowledge, including API, web and mobile programming or scripting languages (including, but not limited to Java, Objective C, .NET, Swift, XML, PHP), computer operating systems (Unix, Windows), mobile operating systems (iOS, Android)
  • Comfortable in a rapid growth environment with high degrees of autonomy and ambiguity - used to navigating the challenges and opportunities in a start-up or scale-up business 
  • Additional European languages (e.g. French, German and/or Spanish) highly beneficial

Really nice to have Experience and Qualifications:

  • Existing knowledge of the ID verification, AML or KYC market and the competitive landscape
  • Knowledge of user digital onboarding, payment and/or risk management systems 
  • Strong project management and organisational skills 
  • Degree education in a relevant field e.g. Computer Science, Engineering
  • A ‘Customer Success’ mentality, able to make using products as painless and positive as possible for customers - leading to increasing volumes of transactions

We encourage all employees to identify new ways of capturing and delivering value. Some of the established measures of success include:

  • Support Channel Partners and Account Executives to secure booked revenue from new Partners
  • Managing and documenting activities from initial customer engagement to Go Live
  • Maintaining a low average of implementation’s time to go live
  • Growth of channel relationships and revenue 


  • Solution Engineers gain a lot of customer facing skills in the pre-sales and implementation capacities as well as developing their technical capabilities through training and coaching
  • Channel represents a key strategic growth and the Channel SE has the opportunity to improve the best ways of working with channel partners and, with success, further growing the channel SE team 

This role will be working with channel partners in the UK, but will also stretch across EMEA in some cases. The business has offices in London, and a hybrid working model would be preferred, however if you want to be fully remote, then that's also good!
