Strategy Implementation Manager – Credit Risk

A top-tier banking client is looking to add a strategic implementation manager to their Credit Risk and Analytics function, overseeing various segments in their consumer lending portfolio.

This role will play a key part in the ensuring that the strategies developed are not only aligned but implemented to serve their intended purpose, as well as investigating and performing due diligence if they do not.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key collaboration with senior management and stakeholders across both lines of defense in order to develop and implement strategy and ensure compliance
  • Support monitoring processes for internal control and procedures surrounding the delivery of the credit risk strategy and execution
  • Partner closely with risk, technology, and other teams in order to perform quality assurance to enhance controls and improve the strategy execution
  • Interact with Internal Audit and technology teams in order to ensure proper execution of the targeting strategies

Basic Requirements

•    Graduate studies, Masters or PhD preferred but not required (quantitative disciplines)

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field preferred (Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
  • 4+ years experience with SAS, SQL and other relevant statistical tools
  • Exposure to Audits, QA testing, Data management and validation
  • Previous background in financial services, consumer lending experience preferred

Skills and Experience

  • Experience writing and testing use case scenarios, providing quality control assessments
  • Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to manage large, complex data sets and draw actionable insights
  • Acquisition risk management experience preferred
  • Big data tools such as SQL server, Hadoop, Oracle etc. preferred
