Hamlyn Williams is partnered with a leading Prop Trading firm that are looking for a Trading Compliance Officer for their Amsterdam-based Compliance team. They offer a challenging learning opportunity in a high-energy business environment. The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter who knows his way around common coding languages and has knowledge of the regulatory framework

 

As a Compliance Officer you will:

  • Share ownership of several reporting processes (MiFID II transaction and trade reporting, commodity derivative position reporting, SFTR, EMIR) with your teammates
  • Propose and implement ways to improve day-to-day compliance, reporting and monitoring processes and controls
  • Continuously look for improvements of the existing tools and work with the technology department to ensure they work as intended
  • Collect and analyze information for investigations, inquiries and audits, both internal and external
  • Sign off on the implementation of the business requirements
  • Support the implementation of current and new trading rules & regulations

 

As a Compliance Officer you will need:

  • Several years of relevant work experience running processes involving large amounts of data
  • Experience facing external stakeholders and managing their expectations
  • You know your way around programming with Python and SQL
  • Excellent Excel skills, VBA is a plus
  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science or similar
  • Basic understanding of financial products and markets
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
