A commmercial banking client of ours is looking to add a BSA Officer to their team. This postion will have 18+ direct reports under them. This position is fully remote
Responsibilities
-
Manages customer risk-rating processes, including initial and on-going assessments and reviews, to appropriately reflect the Bank’s business lines and strategies. Manages the BSA team to ensure proper documentation is maintained through narratives and supporting documentation on high-risk customer classifications and ongoing activity related to enhanced due diligence, and when necessary, Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR).

Oversees and participates in BSA/AML/OFAC monitoring program including preparing SAR and CTR filings with appropriate government agencies when applicable, as well as any blocked property reporting.

Provides ongoing training for all applicable associates on day-to-day BSA/AML/OFAC compliance responsibilities.

Performs the regular Bank-wide BSA/AML/OFAC risk assessment (at least annually and following any substantial change to the customer or product base (e.g., M&A activity)).

Works with internal auditors, consultants, and regulatory examiners in connection with their review of the BSA/AML/OFAC program, including collecting and preparing requested documents and consulting with same on various matters.

Pursues continuous improvement in the Bank’s BSA/AML/OFAC program.

Examines Bank policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Manages BSA/AML/OFAC software, including model validation and calibration efforts, as well as change control procedures.

Assists in preparing the quarterly Board of Director reports, presentations, and other materials, and annual board BSA/AML/OFAC training.

Participates in M&A activity as necessary to establish new procedures and properly oversee new customers, products and BSA team members.

Performs additional duties as requested or assigned.
Qualification
- Effective coaching and training skills
- 10+ Years in BSA/AML
- 7+ Years of direct BSA
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple demands at once
- Strong risk assessment and priority-setting abilities
- CAMS
- Skilled in operation of a personal computer and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Core banking systems
- Experienced in Verafin or other BSA/AML software
