A partner of ours is looking for a Vice President of Human Resources- Benefits and Compensation to join its New York team! 

This individual must be bilingual in Mandarin. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, short and long term disability, life insurance and AD&D, 401(k) plan, wellness benefits, D&O, EPLI and BPL, BOLI plan, and WC including but not limited to eligibility tracking, form distribution, enrollment, change, termination, claim to process 

  • Assist with annual renewal for benefit plans including plan design, vendor due diligence, quote negotiation, and management approval 

  • Assist with third-party vendor management including annual review, financial statement review, risk assessment, due diligence, SOC report review, an onsite visit 

  • Conduct benefits orientations (e.g. new hire, open enrollment) and training sessions 

  • Assist in the administration and communication of HR leaves of absences policies and programs 

  • Assist in time system maintenance including but not limited to updating new timekeeper, supervisor, schedule change, status change, assigning user group and password rest 

  • Provide attendance system training for all levels of employees as needed 

  • Conduct the second review of payroll entries including deductions, earnings, and changes, payroll data, and hours before final transmittal 

  • Oversee maintenance of payroll records and files including but not limited to sick time and vacation and other accrued leave 

What they are looking for:  

  • Bachelor’s degree is required 

  • 3 years minimum of work experience in human resources and/or supporting payroll and/or benefit administration or related experience is required 

  • Knowledge of the CA, NY, and IL employment laws is preferred 

  • Bilingual Mandarin
