Hamlyn Williams is currently working with a rapidly growing FinTech client and an innovative payment provider for a global e-commerce merchant.

We are seeking a Chief Business Officer who will be based in Luxembourg and will be responsible for the General Manager with a specialty in team building and business development. 

Responsibilities: 

• Own the strategy of identifying, structuring and executing partnerships for the next wave of growth in Europe
• Lead collaboration with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to define and communicate the company’s unique value propositions
• Build and maintain a productive and efficient team with the highest level of professionalism and entrepreneurial mindset
• Support the project management of new product launches, ensuring compliance with local rules and regulations
• Manage working relationships with relevant regulatory bodies and liaise with regulators, auditors, and banking partners
• Provide expert guidance to other business functions across the group
• Manage competition and threats in the business with constant evaluation of strategic priorities 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field
• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in a similar role
• Possess sound knowledge of Luxembourg and/or E.U. regulations related to Payment Institutions
• Experience in building or scaling a FinTech start-up company
• Must have sound knowledge of the payments industry 

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong written and spoken communication skills, analytical, and leadership skills
• Fluency in English is required; skills in Luxembourgish, German, French, or Chinese are preferred
• Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion 
• Self-starter with the ability to flourish in high-pressure environments 
• Organised, autonomous, and pragmatic with sound judgment
