Processing data is our core business. We use data to develop, train and implement models as well as creating a more in-depth understanding of the business processes at our clients. We believe that data should never be processed in isolation or without the proper context. Therefore we only supply contextual analytics that take into account what the data represents and not just the number of text that has been stored in a file or database. In order to achieve this, we have also developed our own products to support the delivery of results to our clients.

Role

As a data engineer you will be working closely with our analysts, managers and clients to design, build, and maintain applications that are used to store, process, and analyse large volumes of data. Your primary goal is to ensure that the required data is easy to access, has passed the data quality controls and is ready to be used data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders.

• Design and implement data pipelines (primarily in cloud environments)
• Optimize the data storage as well as the compute clusters executing the pipelines
• Monitor the performance and health of data pipelines and resolve issues when required
• Ensure data is processed according to internal policies and external regulation

In addition, you will support the development of products by building or improving data processing, deploy the products in cloud environments and review or adjust the current code packages.

Your profile

We are looking for ambitious people that have a clear understanding of data processing and the what type of implementation would best fit our clients. You will using with our own software

stack, or the software that our clients have selected. Our domain experts will provide you with the appropriate context of the business processes, when required.

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence or Data Science

Required skillset:

• Programming fundamentals (Python, Java, SQL)
• Database management
• Computer architecture and algorithms
• Basic understanding of data structures and data management
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
