Title: Chief Financial Officer (or VP of Finance)

About the Firm:
This firm is at the forefront of bridging traditional finance and decentralized finance by bringing real-world financial products—such as U.S. Treasuries, bonds, equities, and soon ETFs—onto the blockchain.

The Opportunity:
This is a foundational finance hire—someone who will shape, build, and own the finance function from the ground up. The role may initially be titled VP of Finance with a clear path to CFO as the organization scales. The right candidate will be equally comfortable reconciling ledgers as they are evaluating strategic M&A and optimizing token-based compensation plans. You will be stepping into a high-autonomy, high-impact role where financial acumen meets strategic foresight.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Infrastructure & Operations

• Build and own core FP&A processes: cash flow forecasting, balance sheet management, monthly reporting, and financial modeling

• Oversee reconciliation of company cash flows and ensure financial hygiene across accounts

• Formalize internal financial controls, policies, and audit-readiness processes

• Manage and evolve compensation infrastructure, including token-linked comp structures

Strategic Finance & Corporate Development

• Partner with leadership to evaluate long-term strategic initiatives

• Lead financial planning around token economics, treasury management, hedging strategies, and discount sourcing

• Provide commercial insight into structuring deals and business model evolution

Team Leadership & Growth

• Hire and mentor a lean but high-performing finance team

• Build cross-functional partnerships across engineering, people, product, and legal to scale financial strategy and operations

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, ideally with a mix of FP&A, corporate strategy, and accounting

• Deep exposure to the crypto or digital asset ecosystem is required—you’ve either worked at a crypto-native firm or led finance functions where tokens, wallets, custody, and decentralized infrastructure are core to the business

• Strong technical fluency in accounting, tax, and compensation structures (including tokenized or equity-based)

• Demonstrated experience owning full-stack finance in a high-growth or frontier market environment

• Strategic thinker with a commercial lens; experience evaluating new markets, business models, or M&A

• Prior exposure to regulated financial products or fund structures is a plus

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in a startup-like, distributed culture

Compensation:
